New rules in the new season. Every match will be exciting. The restrictions imposed by the ICC during the Covid pandemic have been lifted by the BCCI in IPL 2025. Earlier, saliva was allowed on the ball, but restrictions were imposed on it since the Covid pandemic. But on Thursday, in a meeting, all the captains were given permission to change this rule. Now, the bowlers used saliva to sign the ball as before. Due to which reverse swing was seen. The same method can be adopted again.

During the ICC Champions Trophy, Team India’s star bowler Mohammed Shami had expressed his opinion in favor of using saliva on the ball. Shami said, we should be allowed to use saliva on the ball. This will help us bring back the reverse swing that has been lost in cricket. It will also make the match more exciting. Since the ball is not used to swing, reverse swing is not possible.

Meanwhile, the bowling team can use 2 new balls in 20 overs. Due to the problem of dew, the ball became wet, which was causing problems in bowling. Keeping this in mind, the captain can use a new ball after 11 overs. But the field umpire will take the decision in this regard. After checking the old ball, he will allow the new ball to be played.

Apart from this, the captain was banned due to slow over rate. Which will not be seen again in this season. For slow over rate, the captain will be given demerit points and his match fee will also be deducted. But he will not be banned for any match. Last year, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya was banned due to slow over rate. For which, Hardik will not be able to play the first match of the current season.
