Lawrence Gang Issues ₹10 Crore Extortion Threat to Singer B Praak; Police Launch Probe
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Seeks ₹10 Crore Extortion from Singer B Praak Through Threat Call: Punjabi singer and Bollywood playback artist B Praak has reportedly received an extortion threat allegedly linked to the Lawrence gang, demanding a ransom of ₹10 crore. The threat was conveyed through Punjabi singer Dilnoor, a close associate of B Praak, prompting immediate police action.
According to information reported by ANI, Dilnoor has filed a formal complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Mohali. In her complaint, Dilnoor stated that she received multiple threatening calls and an audio message from overseas numbers over two days.
Dilnoor revealed that on January 5, she received two missed calls from a foreign number, which she did not answer. On January 6, she received another call from a different overseas number. Finding the conversation suspicious after answering the call briefly, she disconnected it. Soon after, she received a voice message in which the caller identified himself as Arju Bishnoi and demanded ₹10 crore on behalf of the Lawrence gang.
The audio message allegedly threatened serious harm to B Praak if the ransom was not paid within a week. The caller instructed Dilnoor to relay the extortion demand to the singer, escalating concerns over the safety of the popular artist.
Taking the matter seriously, Dilnoor immediately approached the police. SSP Mohali has ordered a swift and thorough investigation into the case. Law enforcement agencies are currently tracing the origin of the calls and working to identify those responsible for issuing the threats.
Police officials have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of those involved and to bring the perpetrators to justice. The investigation is ongoing.
