UP Declares March 26–27 Holiday for Ram Navami Celebrations
Yogi Govt Announces Two-Day Holiday Amid Ram Navami: The government of Uttar Pradesh has announced a two-day public holiday on March 26 and 27 on the occasion of Ram Navami. The decision was taken by the administration led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in view of the massive influx of devotees and large religious processions across the state.
Government offices, educational institutions, and other departments will remain closed during these two days. Authorities expect a significant rise in footfall at major religious cities like Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Mathura, where grand celebrations, prayers, and processions are being organized.
Security has been tightened across the state, with police and administrative officials placed on high alert to ensure smooth crowd management. Special traffic arrangements, including diversions, have been implemented, especially on routes leading to Ayodhya.
In a special gesture, offerings from the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan in Mathura have been sent to Ayodhya. The prasad includes large quantities of panjiri, laddus, fruits, and clothes, which will be offered at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple during the celebrations. The move aims to ensure better crowd control and provide convenience to devotees participating in the grand festivities.
