The railways have run these trains especially in view of the increasing rush of passengers during Raksha Bandhan.

Railway announces Raksha Bandhan special trains, check routes, dates and timing: Northern Railway announced special Raksha Bandhan train services. Special trains will run between Jabalpur and Kota to Hazrat Nizamuddin in view of the increasing crowd in the trains during the festival. The news has given big relief to the passengers going home on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Passengers from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi will get extra travel options from these trains.

Jabalpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Special Train

Train No. 01701 will run from Jabalpur on 29 August 2026. This train will leave Jabalpur at 8:20 PM and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 2:25 PM the next day. En route, the train will stop at major stations like Katni Murwara, Damoh, Sagar, Virangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Gwalior, Dholpur, Agra Cantt, Mathura and Kosi Kalan. In return train number 01702 will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 3:45 PM on 30 August and reach Jabalpur at 9:30 AM the next day. 2nd AC, 3rd AC, 3rd AC Economy, Sleeper and General class coaches will be available in this train.

Kota-Hazrat Nizamuddin Special Train

Second special train 09803 will run from Kota to Hazrat Nizamuddin. This train will depart from Kota at 10:15 PM on 22, 24 and 26 August 2026 and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 7 AM the next day. Its route will be through Indergarh Sumerganj Mandi, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Sri Mahavirji, Hindaun City, Bayana, Bharatpur and Mathura till Hazrat Nizamuddin. In return, train number 09804 will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin on 23rd, 25th and 27th August at 9 am and reach Kota at 7:35 pm. 1st AC, 2nd AC, 3rd AC, 3rd AC Economy, Sleeper and General Coaches are provided in this train. The railways have run these trains especially in view of the increasing rush of passengers during Raksha Bandhan.
