GIVA has removed Kriti’s Raksha Bandhan ad after controversy: Kriti Sanon’s new Raksha Bandhan ad was removed by a jewellery brand from social media after it sparked controversy. The move came amid Kangana Ranaut’s remarks and social media trolling over her outfit.
Jewellery brand GIVA has withdrawn its Raksha Bandhan advertisement featuring Kriti Sanon. In a statement posted in its official instagram page on Wednesday, GIVA said, ‘ We have great respect for Indian culture, traditions and festivals. As a brand we always believe in celebrating happy moments with the whole family. As a matter of respect, we have removed that ad from all media platforms.’
Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut criticized Kriti Sanon for ‘tying Rakhi in a Bikini’. Kriti was seen wearing an off white bralette-style blouse, cape and draped skirt. Her outfit drew criticism from a section of social media users. At the same time, some social media users also trolled Kriti over tying a rakhi to her pet dog in the ad.
On the work front, Kriti was last seen in the romantic comedy-drama Cocktail 2, co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
