CM Majhi To Attend Jal Shakti Summit In Delhi: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will be on a two-day visit to New Delhi today. He will attend the first departmental summit of the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

The two-day summit beginning September 1(Tuesday) will focus on four key thematic pillars- timely implementation of water infrastructure projects, Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari-Catch the Rain, source sustainability of drinking water systems, and operation and maintenance of rural drinking water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0. During the summit, the Chief Minister is expected to outline Odisha’s progress and accomplishments under various centrally sponsored schemes for drinking water supply and the creation of irrigation potential. He is likely to share the experiences, challenges and best practices of the state at the national summit.

Conceived by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit forms the opening event in a planned series of departmental gatherings aimed at reinforcing cooperative federalism, building shared responsibility for national goals, and speeding up results through stronger partnership between the Centre and the states.

The closing session(september 2) will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Chief Ministers and Water Resources Ministers from all states.
