Ranbir Kapoor is bringing personal anecdotes and relationship advice to Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. The actor will appear in a special Diwali episode with his Ramayana co-stars Sai Pallavi and Ravie Dubey.
Newly released promos offer a glimpse into his conversations with host Amitabh Bachchan, from the secret to sustaining love to his unforgettable proposal to Alia Bhatt.
Friendship, Trust and Respect: Ranbir’s Formula for Love
Bachchan encourages Ranbir to open up about his personal life, including his relationship with Alia. In response, the actor explains the principles that keep a couple together.
Ranbir said, “The foundation, the root of our relationship, is friendship. I have always believed that love connects a relationship, trust makes a relationship strong, and respect keeps a relationship sustained. And I think these are the important foundations in a relationship, sir.”
Impressed by his answer, Bachchan responds, “Wow, well said.”
Three Lions Witnessed Ranbir’s Proposal to Alia
The conversation takes an unexpected turn when Bachchan asks about the significance of Masai Mara in Ranbir’s life. The actor reveals that the Kenyan wildlife reserve was where he asked Alia to marry him.
Ranbir had carefully arranged the proposal, asking his guide and driver to stop at a particular spot in the jungle. He carried a ring and wanted photographs taken from a distance, joking that Instagram pictures were important for Alia.
But the romantic moment came with an unusual audience: three Asiatic lions standing around 100 feet away.
Recalling the scene, Ranbir says, “My lioness was standing in front of me, and I was standing on my knees like a mouse saying, “Baby, will you marry me?””
Calling it “a wonderful experience of my life”, he says the moment will remain unforgettable. Bachchan responds, “Well done. Well done.”
