A toilet is perhaps the last place where anyone expects an unexpected visitor. But imagine lifting the toilet seat only to find a venomous snake lurking inside! Sounds terrifying, doesn’t it? Two such incidents have surfaced on social media, leaving viewers shocked.
While one video shows a black cobra being rescued from a toilet seat at a Maharashtra home, another captures the rescue of a massive 10-feet-long King Cobra from a family’s restroom.
Black Cobra Found Inside Toilet In Akola
The first incident reportedly took place on Sunday night, November 1, at a family’s residence in Sudhir Colony, Akola, Maharashtra. The family was left terrified after spotting a black cobra inside their bathroom and immediately contacted the wildlife department for help.
Wildlife department warden Bal Kalane and snake rescuer Satish Buddhivaparkar subsequently reached the spot and began the rescue operation at around 10 PM.
The video shows the rescuers carefully using a long stick to remove the reptile. The cobra can be seen coiling around the toilet seat, gripping its edges and moving as the rescuers attempt to capture it.
Viral Video Triggers Reactions
The footage was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘itskadak’ and quickly attracted attention.
While several users described the sight as terrifying, others linked such encounters to deforestation and shrinking natural habitats, which could be bringing wild animals closer to human settlements.
Separate Video Shows 10-Feet-Long King Cobra Rescue
In a separate incident, another video circulating on social media shows rescuers removing a reportedly 10-feet-long King Cobra from a family’s toilet.
Unlike the Akola incident, the location and other details of this rescue have not been independently verified.
The two videos have nevertheless left viewers wondering how a routine bathroom visit could turn into such a frightening encounter.
