400-year-old coin discovered in excavation ,The Sambhal district administration has informed that a large number of 400-year-old coins have been found underground near the Guru Amarpati Smaaraki Sthal in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. When District Magistrate Vandana Mishra visisted Alipur village under Sambhal district, the villagers handed over old coins and fragments of pottery to him. According to the villagers, they have been living near the Sot River for many years.
A few days ago, they found old coins, fragments of pottery, etc. from the riverbed. They were keeping them with them. According to the district administration, among the coins is a coin with the image of Ram, Sita, and Laxman. In addition, some coins that were in circulation during British rule were also found. A public official said that if the area is further investigated, some more historical items are likely to be found.
