Helicopter Falls Into Hudson River In America, 6 Dead: A helicopter crash has taken place on Manhattan Island in the U.S.A. The accident occurred yesterday, Thursday, in the Hudson River, New York. 6 died in the accident: 3 of them were children. A statement from the authorities said the accident occurred in the area between Lower Manhattan and Jersey City. The rescue operation was going on in the early hours after the accident. As stated by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, the pilot and five members of one Spanish family were amongst the deceased. Police said the helicopter went down into the Hudson River near West Side Highway and Spring Street.

Videos uploaded to social media show the skids of the helicopter submerged. Conditions at the time were reportedly cloudy, with winds approximately 10-15 knots, with some light rain possible. The FAA has stated it will work with the NTSB on an accident investigation.

Bruce Wall, an eyewitness at the scene, said “he saw the helicopter break up in the air. He said that when the helicopter hit the water, it was flying with its rotor blades turning; it just stopped its blades. Eye-witnesses described the terrible scene as one “I looked out the window and saw the helicopter break into pieces and fall into the river.” Another witness, Leslie Camacho, said the helicopter had been spinning out of control, trailing smoke, before falling into the water.
