Odisha Govt Launches Free UPSC Coaching; Know the Full Details Here
Free UPSC Coaching – The Odisha government has initiated the process of providing free residential Civil Services (UPSC) coaching to 200 meritorious but disadvantaged candidates for the 2025-26 session.
The application process for free residential Civil Services (UPSC) coaching has started online. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online by visiting the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) website.
Important dates:
Online application Starts– 15 April 2025
Online application Deadline – 09 May 2025
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
The candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
Age limit:
Minimum Age 21 years
Maximum age – 30 years
Age calculation will be as per 01.02.2025

Selection Process:
200 candidates will be selected through a pre-qualification entrance examination conducted by the State Selection Board, Higher Education Department, to undergo training at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Jatni.
3370 seats in each category will be reserved for women candidates.
The number can be increased if necessary.
Test plan:
The exam will be conducted offline. The entrance exam will consist of one paper of objective type (multiple-choice questions) and will carry a maximum of 200 marks. It will consist of two sections: Section A (general studies-based) and Section B (eligibility test-based). The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
The entrance exam will be a qualifying exam in which the minimum qualifying marks will be fixed at 33%.
Exam Center:
The entrance examination will be conducted in 5 Regional Education Directorate areas of the state namely Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Jeypore and Sambalpur.
Coaching time:
Calendar month (possibly July, 2025 to May, 2026)
