Indian Navy has released recruitment for the posts of Agniveer (SSR & MR) and SSR (Medical) under the 2025 batch. Who can apply?

For the post of SSR, the applicant must have passed 12th class with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board . Along with this, he must have studied any one of the subjects of Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science. For the post of MR, the candidate must have passed 10th. More details about the eligibility criteria specifically prescribed for SSR (Medical) are mentioned in the official notification.

What is the age limit?

Candidates should be between 17.5 years and 23 years of age . However, the age limit may be relaxed for some categories as per the government rules. Candidates will have to submit proof of age through their birth certificate or other valid document.

How much is the application fee?

The application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates is ₹550, which includes 18% GST. Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories will also have to pay a fee of ₹550 . Payment can be made online using debit card, credit card or net banking.

After registration, login to the website.
Fill all the requested information correctly.
Upload the required documents.
Pay the application fee online.
Click on the Submit button and complete the application process.

The selection process will be completed in three main stages, candidates will have to appear for an online Computer Based Test (CBT). The question paper will be objective type, with questions from General Knowledge, Science, Mathematics and English. The level of the test will be as per the syllabus of class 10th or 12th. Candidates who clear the written test will be called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The PFT will include a 1.6 km run, push-ups and sit-ups. Different criteria have been set for males and females. Candidates who clear the PFT will undergo a medical examination. This examination will be as per the medical criteria set by the Indian Navy. Candidates must be physically and mentally fit . Finally, a merit list will be prepared of the candidates who clear all the stages and the selected candidates will be given the joining letters.
