The enthusiasm for the 75th Republic Day turned into a massive hit for Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar who is set to record his best weekend collection with Sky Force since Ram Setu which was released in 2022. Starring alongside newcomer Veer Pahariya, the Bollywood Khiladi has finally given a banger to the Indian cinema industry. Sky Force collection is rapidly nearing the Rs 100 crore club, bagging nearly Rs 50 crore collection during the weekend alone.
As per Sacnilk data, Sky Force performed well on its first 2 days at the box office and earned an estimated Rs 34.25 crore India net. Further, Sky Force earned around 27.50 crore India net on its third day for all languages (early estimates). On Saturday alone, Sky Force bagged about Rs 22 crore collection. Taking into consideration, the latest collection on Sunday as India celebrated 75th Republic Day, Sky Force bagged a collection of Rs 49.5 crore during the first weekend.
Data from Bollywood Hungama showed that this will be the best weekend collection since Ram Setu which was released on October 25, 2022. Sky Force even outperformed Akshay Kumar’s superhit OMG 2 whose first weekend collection was to the tune of Rs 43.11 crore. OMG 2 was released on August 11, 2023. Ram Setu movie had bagged a first-weekend collection of Rs 55.48 crore, as per the data, despite the overall movie being average. Overall, in a three-day span, Sky Force’s box office collection is estimated to be around Rs 61.75 crore, as per the Sacnilk data. That being said, the movie is less than Rs 40 crore away from hitting Rs 100 crore.
