He is an indian actor, filmmaker, television personality and politician, who is known as a superstar in Odia films. He is also called Bhaijaan by his fans.
Anubhav Mohanty first started his career by acting in Odia music videos before making his debut in Odia cinema in the film I Love You opposite NarmataThapa in 2004. He also had two other films released that year,Sathire and Barsha My Darling. After this, many of his films like Nei jarRe Megh Mate (2008), Suna Chadhei Mo Rupa Chadhei (2009), Akase Ki Ranga lagila (2009), Abhimanyu (2009), Aam Bhitare kichhi achhi ki (2010), Deewana (2010), Kie se Dakuchhi Kauthi Mate (2011), Balunga Toka (2011), Something Something (2012), Matric Fail (2012), ACP Ranveer (2012), Mo Duniya Tu Hi Tu (2013), Mo Haat Dhari Chalutha (2013), Kehi Jane Vala Lagere (2013), Something Something 2 (2014), Gaap Hele Bi Sata (2015), Agastya (2016), Abhaya (2017), Kabula Barabula (2017), Prem Kumar: Sales Man of the Year 2018) were good commercial films. In 2012, after the success of Balunga Toka, he formed a production house called Vishnupriya Art and Graphics.
Something Something was the biggest hit film of 2012. Anubhav made his debut in the Bengali film industry with Saathi Ammar opposite Rachana Banerjee. In 2019, Anubhav acted in Biju Babu, directed by Neela Madhav Panda. But due to political conflicts, it did not perform as expected at the box office. After a gap of 5 years, Anubhav Mohanty returned to the world of cinema and made a film called Love in London. The film became a big hit. Then, in 2024, Anubhav Mohanty made a film with a different story and character in Kuhudi, which was well received by the people. Anubhav Mohanty was seen in the film Karma in 2024 during Dussehra, which broke all the previous records and created a new record. Now everyone is excited about Anubhav Mohanty’s upcoming film and the much-awaited film of the Odia film industry, Raavan.
On 27 April 2013, he joined the regional political party BJD. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in June 2014 and is the youngest member of the Rajya Sabha. On 23 May 2019, he was elected as the Member of Parliament from Kendrapara (Lok Sabha constituency) defeating the elected MP Baijayant Panda.
