Apple is planning to launch its smart home products in the market next year, with a smart doorbell. The company, based on a rumour, is said to be designing a smart house doorbell equipped with Face ID. Using the Face ID, the individual will be able to access their homes. It would be just like an iPhone. Apple teamed up with other third-party manufacturers of smart locks to do so.
Apple is developing a smart house doorbell system that will make use of hybrid face recognition technology and wirelessly connect to a deadbolt lock, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported. Apple’s online store now sells various third-party smart home locks, but this will be the company’s first indigenous (proprietary) product.
The Proxima will be Apple’s first native wireless networking chipset to safeguard user data. Smart house doorbell systems are unlikely to appear in stores until late next year, but the company may still develop the technology and sell it under a third-party brand. Logitech or Belkin might be among prospective partners, analysts say.
