An arrest warrant has been issued against former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa in connection with the Provident Fund (PF) fraud case. PF Regional Commissioner Sadakeshari Gopal Reddy issued the order and directed the Pulakashinagar police to take necessary action.
Uthappa was the managing director of a company, Century Lifestyle Brands Private Limited . He is accused of deducting money from the salaries of his employees for PF but not depositing it in their accounts. The alleged amount is estimated to be around ₹23 lakh.
In a letter dated December 4, Commissioner Reddy had ordered the police to issue an arrest warrant. However, the order was returned to the PF office after Uthappa changed his address.Authorities are currently investigating to find Uthappa’s address and take legal action.
