Ayushman Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Launched In Odisha

Ayushman Bharat Yojana Launched in Odisha– Today, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana have been jointly launched in the state. Along with this, card distribution has also started. Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana, and Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana are being implemented in the state. It is expected that there will be a change in the health sector of the state under this scheme. In this sequence, JP Nadda, who came to Odisha on a visit, reached Cuttack and launched Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya (AB PM-JAY), health insurance will be provided to all senior citizens above 70 years of age, irrespective of income. It aims to provide free health insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh per family to benefit 6 crore senior citizens and about 4.5 crore families. you also read this Subhadra Yojana 3rd Installment Release on April 22

With this approval of the Union Cabinet, all senior citizens above the age of 70 years will be able to avail the benefits of AB PM-JAY irrespective of their socio-economic status. Eligible senior citizens will be provided with a new special card under AB PM-JAY. Senior citizens aged 70 years and above from families already covered under AB PM-JAY will get an additional top-up cover of up to Rs. 5 lakh per annum for themselves (which they will not have to share with other family members below the age of 70 years).

All other senior citizens above the age of 70 years will get insurance up to Rs 5 lakh per annum on a family basis. Senior citizens of 70 years and above who are beneficiaries of other public health insurance schemes like the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), the Ex-Servicemen’s Health Scheme (ECHS), and Ayushman Bharat Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) can choose their existing scheme or opt for AB PM-JAW. It has been clarified that senior citizens of 70 years and above who are covered by a private health insurance policy or employee state insurance will be eligible to get benefits under this scheme, AB PM-JAW.

AB PM-JAY is the world’s largest publicly subsidized health insurance scheme, providing health insurance of Rs. 5 lakh per family per year to cover secondary and tertiary care hospitals for 55 crore individuals from 12.34 crore families. All eligible family members, irrespective of age, are covered under the scheme.
