BCCI released central contract, these players got a chance
BCCI released central contract – The BCCI on Monday announced the central contracts for the women’s team. The board has divided the 16 players into three categories. Grade A has three players, including Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur. Grade B has four players, including Shafali Verma, and Grade C has nine players. The BCCI has included all-rounders Dhilya Sharma, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur in Group A of the central contracts. Renuka Singh, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Shafali Verma have been included in Group B.
The BCCI will also announce the list of central contracts for the men’s national team soon, which will run on all these routes Grade A: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Dilshan Sharma Grade B: Renuka Singh, Jemima Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Shefali Burma Grade C: Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chhetri, Sneha Rana, Pooja Polashakar. Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaurand Dilshan Sharma, who are in Grade A, will each get Rs 50 lakh per annum. The nine women players in Grade C will get Rs 10 lakh each per annum. In 2022, the BCCI announced that men and women cricketers will be paid the same match fee. However, there is a difference in the annual central contracts. Men cricketers are placed in 4 categories and women cricketers in 3 categories. Men’s Category C players also earn more money than women’s Category A players.
