The Income Tax (IT) Department has seized 52 kilograms of gold, valued at approximately ₹40.47 crore, from an abandoned car in the Mendori forest near Bhopal. Additionally, around ₹10 crore in cash was discovered in the vehicle. The operation, conducted jointly with local police, involved over 100 officers and a convoy of 30 vehicles. The car, a white Innova Crysta registered to a local builder, was intercepted based on a tip-off during ongoing raids targeting real estate businesses in the region.
