Former BJD MLA Bijay Mohanty passes away. He died after a few days of illness. Bijay Mohanty breathed his last at the age of 60.
Vijaya Mohanty was a two-time MLA from BJD. He won the elections in 2009 and 2014 and won the MLA seat from Bhubaneswar Madha constituency. He was also known as Badal Mohanty to many. He had a heart attack a few days ago. He had been ill since then. Today, as his health deteriorated, he was taken to the hospital.
However, it is reported that he passed away on reaching there. Today, his postmortem will be conducted as per the rules and the last rites will be performed. However, his death has cast a shadow of mourning in the political arena.
