Broken Flowerpot Auction: Broken Flower Vase Sold For 56 Lakhs; Know Its Specialty
Broken Flowerpot Auction – A flower vase or pot that is broken and whose owner has left it in the garden like that… how much can it cost? Hundred, thousand or lakh? One such person from Britain was shocked when the pot lying in his garden was auctioned. He got 66,000 dollars, i.e., about 56.35 lakh rupees, in exchange for a broken pot. He got so much money because it was found out that it was not an ordinary pot but a work of art. It was made by a famous artist of the 19th century.

According to the international report, clay and stone were used to make this pot. An artist named Hans Copper made it in 1964. Hans came to the UK from Germany in 1939. This pot made by him is about four feet high. This is one of the tallest ceramic arts made by him. You also read thisThe world’s rarest round egg sold for 43,000 rupees
An art that remained just a Flowerpot
A female customer had gotten this art made by Hans. She had kept it very carefully. But after many years, it broke. Instead of throwing it away, the woman tried to repair it. Then she kept it as a decorative pot in the back garden of her house in London. In this way, an art turned into just a broken pot.
After the woman’s death, the flowerpot was passed on to her grandchildren. They found the design of the pot interesting. So when they contacted some people for the auction of that house, they drew everyone’s attention to this flowerpot. An expert in house auctions named Joe Lloyd came to see the property. He saw that the pot had broken into two pieces, plants had grown in it, and it was covered with snails.
There was a competition among the bidders
Lloyd repaired the vase and brought it to London for auction. Initially its price was set between $7,900 and $13,233 (Rs 6.74 lakh to Rs 11.29 lakh). But as soon as the auction started, there was a competition among the bidders. And finally an American man bought it for Rs 56.35 lakh.
