Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resigned. Justin Trudeau resigned from the post of Prime Minister.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resigned. He will quit the ruling Liberal Party and the post of prime minister. But he said today that he will only step down after his successor is chosen.

He was opposed from within his own Liberal Party. He had been the Prime Minister of Canada for nine years. However, his outspoken support for Khalistan leaders landed him in controversy. This was opposed by India, which led to a diplomatic row between the two countries.

Similarly, even after Donald Trump won the presidential election in the United States, the opposition didn’t let off for Trudeau. In fact, people demanded a leadership change within the party. In this regard, he announced his resignation today as he is facing ever-growing rebellion every day.

He said, “I have decided to resign as party leader and prime minister. I will resign after the party chooses a new leader. In the next election, the country will choose the leader of its choice. If I fight against internal wars, then I will not be the best option in the election. I am a fighter. Every bone in my body tells me to fight. Because I always think of the people of Canada.”

Despite all efforts to get parliament to function, it was suspended for months. For this reason, I told the Governor General this morning that we want a new session of parliament. He also accepted it.

Canada’s interim prime minister will be Trudeau, 53, who announced his resignation today. He will then leave office as prime minister.
