Centre approved Chandrayaan-5 mission , 250kg rover to go to the moon
Centre approved Chandrayaan-5 mission ,India has launched the Moon Mission to study the lunar surface. The first in the series, Chandrayaan-1, was successfully launched in 2008, and carried out chemical, mineralogical, and photogeological mapping of the Moon.
India’s second moon mission, Chandrayaan-2, launched in 2019, achieved about 98 percent success, but only two percent of the mission could not be achieved in the final stages. Despite this, Chandrayaan-2 has continued to send hundreds of high-resolution photos, said ISRO Chief and Secretary, Department of Science Narayanan.

ISRO is aiming to launch the Chandrayaan-4 mission in 2027. Chandrayaan-4 will be a crucial mission. It will not only soft land on the south side of the moon but will also collect samples and conduct further tests. This mission will send a 9200 kg satellite to the Moon. V. Narayanan said, “Three days ago we got approval for the Chandrayaan-5 mission. This mission will be implemented jointly with Japan.” On ISRO’s future projects, v. Narayanan said that apart from various missions, including Gaganyaan, plans are underway to establish India’s own space station, ‘Bharat Space Station’.
