According to reports, Mizoram Governor Dr. Kambhampati has been appointed as the Governor of Odisha. Dr. Kambhampati has been the Governor of Mizoram since July 19, 2021. Dr. Kambhampati, who started his career in student politics, was arrested during the Jayaprakash Narayan agitation in 1974-75 and was jailed for 6 months. He was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly as the MLA from Visakhapatnam in 1999. Later, he was elected to the Parliament from the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency in 2014.
