Gold in India: This fort contains hidden treasures of gold: Though India is very rich in its history, which is so old, the stories and mysteries that are part of it are quite astonishing. There are several palaces and forts in Rajasthan. One such place is Junagadh Fort in Bikaner. In total, there are nine palaces in this fort, and people say it has a treasure of gold and silver even now. Many efforts had been made for plundering of treasure kept in this fort, however, nobody ever could find. The foundation stone of this fort was laid in Vikram Sambat 1645 under the rule of Akbar, Maharaja Raya Singh did.

There is a deep trench all around this fort. It has been made from red stones. The Maharaaj established this fort keeping in view its security for the safety of the Capital. Such technology has been used in the construction of this fort so that it remains cool even in summer. There are secret gates and many caves inside the fort. Due to this, the enemies could not attack this palace even if they wanted to. Anup Mahal, Sardar Mahal, Jowar Mahal, Karna Mahal, Raisingh Mahal, Ganga Bhawan, Ratan Bhawan, Sujan Bhawan and Kothi Dungar Bhawan have been constructed in Junagadh. Initially, Junagadh Fort was known as Cintamahani Durg or Bikaner Durg. Later it was renamed as Junagadh. The word Junagadh means old.

Till today, the secret of the treasure of Junagadh Fort remains hidden. Some years back, gold biscuits were found in the caves of this fort. According to the locals there, the Maharaja had hidden the treasure in various places in this fort, which is still hidden inside the fort today. No one can know the secret of the treasure hidden in this fort.

There is also an airplane inside this fort, which was used by the British Army during the First World War. That airplane remains inside this fort today. The British had presented the airplane as a gift to Maharaja Ganga Singh.

In Junagadh Fort, you would have to pay fifty rupees for the ticket. Students would get a discount of twenty rupees. It is open from 10 am to 4 pm for visitors.
