Good news: The cheapest cylinder is available January 2025
Good news ,LPG cylinders will soon be available for Rs 450. Finance Minister and Congress leader hinted at this on Sunday. He said that India Block will decide on providing subsidized LPG cylinders to consumers in the state.
according to the report Currently, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in major cities of Jharkhand is Rs 860. During the assembly elections, the Congress had promised to provide gas cylinders to all citizens at a subsidized rate if they came to power. The party is part of the JMM-led alliance in the state.
Jharkhand Finance Minister and Congress leader Radhakrishna Kishore told reporters that India Block has called for providing LPG cylinders at Rs 450. This promise was made by a political party—Congress, to which I am also associated. But the final decision can be taken only by the alliance.
He said that the Jharkhand government is considering taking legal action to recover the outstanding amount of Rs 1.36 lakh crore from the central government. This outstanding amount is pending for a long time.
Kishore said, ‘Former Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh had submitted a detailed report in 2021, urging the Center to pay the outstanding amount. He said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren had also written a letter to the central government, but no response has been received till date.’
Apart from this, he informed about the ‘Abua Portal’ mobile app launched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, through which public suggestions are being sought for the state budget 2025-26. The last date for giving suggestions is January 17. However, 23 suggestions were received on the very first day of the app launch. Last year, 721 suggestions were received, and 27 were included in the final budget.
Congress leader Kishore said that these efforts reflect the commitment of the state government to get the dues from the Centre and hoped that timely decisions will be taken. He said that the state government will organize a two-day workshop from January 16 to seek opinions from various experts for the upcoming budget.
