Gujarat defeated Titans by 11 runs and achieved their first victory. Batting first after losing the toss, Punjab Kings scored 243 runs. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans could only manage 232 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in pursuit of the target of 244 runs. Captain Shreyas Iyer’s brilliant 97 runs from Punjab added excitement to the match. Which included 9 sixes and 5 fours. Shubman Gill was out for 33 runs for Gujarat. Arshdeep Singh took the most wickets for Punjab.
Vijay Kumar Baishak, Priyansh Arya and Shashank Singh were the heroes of Punjab’s victory. Priyansh, who made his debut in the IPL, started well and scored 47 runs in just 23 balls. Shashank, who came to bat at number 6, scored 44 runs in 16 balls. Similarly, Vijay Kumar bowled aggressively in the 16th and 17th overs to complete Gujarat’s victory.
