HMPV In India : 80-year-old man infected Virus
HMPV In India ,An 80-year-old man has tested positive for the HMPV virus in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He is being treated at a private hospital. second case in Ahmedabad. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has issued a statement saying that there is no record of foreign travel by the elderly patient. After his condition deteriorated, the patient was admitted to a private hospital in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (January 8). Where his sample was taken for HMPV testing.
His test came back positive on Thursday (January 9). He was also suffering from respiratory illness. However, the patient’s condition is now stable. The old man’s sample has been sent to BG Medical College and Gandhinagar Status GBRC for further testing. The first HMPV case in Gujarat was reported on January 6. A two-month-old baby from Rajasthan showed symptoms of the virus and later tested positive. The baby was later admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The newborn baby is now fully recovered.
