HMPV virus is increasing in India; 2 more detected, total infected 8. The HMPV virus, which is now spreading in China, has begun to slowly spread in India. The victims are now on the rise for the last two days. Nagpur, Maharashtra, is another after Karnataka and Gujarat where two people have been detected to be infected with the HMPV virus. Earlier, six people were found to be positive; now, the number has crossed eight. Today, two toddlers from Nagpur, Maharashtra also tested positive.

This virus has been observed to cause symptoms in these 2 children. The ages of the 2 children are 7 and 13 years respectively. The 2 children were taken to the Nagpur Hospital for treatment. The children have been suffering from cough and fever.

The health department officials have been asked by the Maharashtra government to be vigilant regarding the HMPV virus and take necessary action right away. According to the present scenario, the Central Government has intimated that there is no chance of a corona-like situation when the HMPV virus surfaces. This was first found in the Netherlands in the year 2001.

According to the survey, around 8 affected have been found in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Of these, 2 cases are from Bengaluru, Nagpur, and Tamil Nadu. One case has been reported in Gujarat and Ahmedabad.
