kahan hari basaa kare, jota anant jagayaa।

Skanda Purana: According to Skanda Purana, Aarti is such that only one who knows the mantras knows the complete procedure for performing puja or worship.

According to scriptures, Lord Vishnu has said that one who performs aarti with a ghee lamp attains a place in heaven. One who performs aarti with camphor enters eternity. One who performs aarti in a place of worship attains the highest state.

How many times should Aarti be performed in Puja?

Aarti of the Lord should always be performed standing in one place. While performing Aarti, always bow down slightly and perform Aarti.

Perform Aarti, four times at the feet of the Lord, twice at the navel, once at the face, and seven times at all the whole image. If you perform Aarti in this way 14 times, your obeisance reaches the fourteen auras.

Significance of performing Aarti:

The devotees see the burning wicks of the Aarti as symbols of selfless service to the Deities.
