IND vs AUS , Nitish ready creat history . Nitish Reddy hits his first Test century in Melbourne . India trails Australia by 116 runs . The fourth Test between India and Australia under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2025-25 is being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Today is the third day of the match (28 December). With the help of Nitish Kumar Reddy’s unbeaten century, India scored 358 runs for the loss of nine wickets on the third day of the fourth cricket test when the game was ended early due to poor light. The Indian team is 116 runs behind Australia’s first innings score of 474 runs. At the end of the third day’s play, Reddy was playing with 105 runs and Mohammad Siraj with two runs. Pat Cummins and Scott Boland took three wickets each for Australia.
Nitish-Sundar pair put India back on the fighting track.
Thanks to the excellent innings played in difficult times by Nitish Kumar Reddy (85 not out) and Washington Sundar (40 not out), India has come back on the fighting track against Australia. By tea time on Saturday, the third day of the fourth test match, India had scored 326 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in their first innings and now they are 148 runs behind Australia’s first innings score of 474 runs. India started today’s play from their yesterday’s score of 164 runs at the loss of 5 wickets.
