IPL 2025: Pant becomes Lucknow Super Giants captain
IPL 2025: Rishabh Pant will captain Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pant, the most expensive player in the current IPL, has been appointed as the captain by LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka. Sanjiv made the announcement at an event held in Kolkata on Monday. As a result, the speculation surrounding this has come to an end.
KL Rahul was removed from the captaincy post due to LSG’s poor performance in the last IPL. After this, the team was looking for a new captain. Initially, there was talk of Nicholas Pooran getting the captaincy post. But LSG announced that he would be appointed as the captain after buying Tim Pant.
