Jaat Box Office Collection Day 1: Sunny Deol’s film could not earn even half of ‘Sikander’ on opening day

Jaat Box Office Collection Day 1: Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda’s ‘Jaat’. It was released in theatres on 10th April, fans flocked to watch the film. At some places, people came in tractor-trolleys, while at other places they were seen dancing to the beats of drums. This craze for ‘Jaat’ was amazing. Apart from this, there was also the Mahavir Jayanti holiday. But on the very first day, Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’ lagged behind Salman Khan’s ‘Sikander’ in terms of earnings. It could not even earn half of that. Whereas it has 6 times more shows than ‘Sikander’. This is a new film and ‘Sikander’ has been at the box office for 12 days. ‘Jaat’ opened with only 9.50 crores.

The film budget of Jaat, says Gopichand Malineni, is set at Rs 100 crore. Besides Sunny and Randeep Hooda, the film stars Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Urvashi Rautela, among others. Two years post ‘Gadar 2’, Sunny Deol is returning to the silver screen with this action-masala film, and the impatience among fans is palpable.

Jaat‘ got good reviews from the audience, and they said that the Sunny Deol of the 90s is back. But this craze did not seem to translate into earnings on the opening day. However, the crowd increased in the evening and night shows as compared to the morning shows.

‘Jaat’ Collection Day 1:

According to Sacnilk’s report, ‘Jaat’ opened with only 9.50 crores, while Salman’s ‘Sikander’ had a net collection of 26 crores across the country on the first day. According to this, ‘Jaat’ failed to earn even half of what ‘Sikander’ earned on the first day. The thing to note here is that ‘Jaat’ earned only 2.37 crores from booking before its release. In the two days of booking, which started on 8th April, only 1,13,299 tickets were booked. In such a situation, everything depended on on-spot booking. Its benefit was seen, and the film collected 9.50 crores instead of 2.37 crores on the first day.

‘Jaat’ had good occupancy on the first day, crowd increased in the night shows:

While the morning shows had 9.56% occupancy, the crowd increased in the evening and night shows. The occupancy in the night shows was up to 18.47%, but on the first day, Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’ could neither beat his previous release ‘Gadar 2’ nor ‘Sikander’.

‘Jaat’ has a good opportunity to earn:

It has been 12 days since the release of ‘Sikander’, but now its earnings have started falling and the situation is very bad. In such a situation, there is a great opportunity that ‘Jaat’ can cash in on and earn well. Of course, due to the craze of Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar’, the audience showed the same enthusiasm for ‘Jaat’ on the first day. But whether this enthusiasm will remain in the coming days or not, whether the earnings will increase or not, it depends on ‘word of mouth’ and a good story.
