Justice Harish Tandon took oath as Chief Justice of the High Court
Harish Tandon took oath as Chief Justice of the High Court. The governor administered the oath to the chief justice. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi was present at the oath-taking ceremony. Justice Tandon has been serving as a judge of the Calcutta High Court since his appointment on April 13, 2010. Justice Tandon is the seventh most senior High Court judge in the world.

He has extensive experience in the administration of justice as a judge. He is qualified to be the Chief Justice of a High Court, a statement uploaded by the Collegium on the Supreme Court website said, adding that he has now taken charge. The minister gives information: Justice Tandon’s appointment was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium and granted by the president.
