This Kumbh Mela will be held exactly 2 years later in 2027 and will be known as the 2027 Ardha Kumbh. The Uttarakhand government has started preparations for this from today. On the instructions of the government, the government officials of Haridwar held a meeting regarding the preparations for ‘Ardha Kumbh 2027’.
After the meeting, IG Garhwal Rajiv Purwa said, “Preparations for the Ardha Kumbh Mela 2027 have started. All departments, including the Home Department, were present. What will be the traffic plan for the Kumbh Mela to be held in 2027, what will be the parking arrangements, how to manage the crowd, and the required infrastructure were also discussed. The Commissioner and all departments will work in this regard; the next outline has been prepared.”
