Arjun Munda, also from the BJP, is the longest-serving chief minister of Jharkhand. In three non-consecutive terms, he led the state for more than 5 years, although he could never complete a full term.

Hemanta Soren, popularly known as “Jharkhand,” is the current and 8th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He took the oath on November 28, 2024, representing the Barhet Assembly constituency.
