List of Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh Andhra Pradesh state was formed on 1 November 1956. It was formed on the basis of language. The current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh is N. Chandrababu Naidu. The state has 175 assembly seats, 25 Lok Sabha seats and 11 Rajya Sabha seats .

The governor is the legal head of any state, but the real executive power lies with the chief minister. Article 164 of the Constitution of India states that the CM will be appointed by the governor. There can be only one CM in a state. The chief minister is not directly elected but is nominated by the party that has the most number of seats in the state. The NDA government has been formed in Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the 24th Chief Minister of the state. Chandrababu took charge of the state for the fourth time. With this, he made a record of becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the maximum number of times.
