The salary and Pensions of MPs have been increased
MPs salary and Pensions have been increased 24 % by centre , how much ? The salaries and allowances of MPs have been increased. The central government has increased the salaries. From April 1, MPs will get a salary of Rs 1.24 lakh instead of Rs 1 lakh. A notification has been issued by the Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs regarding this increase. According to this notification, the salaries, allowances and pensions of MPs have been increased. The central government has increased this by keeping in mind the inflation rate. These increased rates will be applicable from April 1, 2023.

Along with this, the pension of MPs has also been increased. Over the past five years, the pension of MPs has increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 31,000.
Similarly, the daily allowance, which is currently Rs 2,000, has been increased to Rs 2,500 while the Parliament is in session. The pension has been increased from Rs 25,000 per month to Rs 30,000. In addition to the monthly salary, MPs receive an assembly allowance of Rs 70,000 and an office allowance of Rs 60,000. No tax is levied on their salary.
