New guideline for Lawyers , Black coat optional on summer day . The State Bar Council issued summer dress guidelines for lawyers in all courts except the Supreme Court and High Court on Friday.

New guideline – In view of the extremely hot and unbearable heat, the State Bar Council has decided to relax the rules of professional dress normally worn by lawyers during summer as per the Bar Council of India Act.

Wearing of advocate gown has been made optional for lawyers in district and other courts except the Supreme Court and High Court. Therefore, in the summer, white shorts, black pants or black and white striped or grey pants and white tie and collar can be worn in district and other courts except the Supreme Court and High Court. This dress code will be in force from April 6 to June 30.
