NO needles for blood sugar test; pain can also be relieved
NO needles for blood sugar tests; diabetes is a serious health problem. But due to today’s unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits, this disease has become common. Diabetic patients are very conscious about their blood sugar. They check their sugar levels regularly. For this, usually blood has to be taken from the finger with a needle, which is slightly painful. But now there is no need for a needle for sugar test. With the help of radar technology, sugar levels can be checked without a needle.
The radar technology was developed. The system can be fitted into a smartwatch to check glucose or sugar levels. the radar system is able to accurately tell how much sugar is in your body.
Explaining the working of the radar system, “Just as weather satellites use radar to monitor the Earth’s atmosphere, this radar can monitor glucose levels in the human body.” The main components of this system are a radar chip, an engineered metasurface, and a microcontroller.
The radar chip will send and receive signals through the body, looking at the metasurface signals to accurately monitor sugar levels. So that even the slightest change in your sugar levels will be detected through this system. No other technique can provide such accuracy. However, there is still some work to be done to improve this system, said Dr. George Shaker. The team is currently working on developing a technique to install this device on wearable devices.
