Punjab Kings beat Chennai Super Kings by 18 runs, CSK fourth loss in a row
PBKS Beat CSK by 18 runs In IPL Match 22: Priyansh Arya’s smoky century helped Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 18 runs in a match played on Tuesday evening. Chasing a target of 220 runs set by Punjab, CSK managed to chase down 21 runs. This was Punjab’s third win while Chennai’s fourth consecutive defeat.
Batting first, Punjab saw a steady drop in wickets from the beginning, with a majority of the openers from one side scoring aggressively. Punjab managed 219 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Two wickets were taken by Khaleel Ahmed and Ravichandran Ashwin for CSK. The opening combination of Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra provided CSK a 61-run head start in response. Finally, Mahendra Singh Dhoni made 27 runs from 13 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. But it was not sufficient. Chennai was able to make 21 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. Lockie Ferguson took two wickets for Punjab and Glenn Maxwell took one wicket.
Consequently, Punjab Kings won their third match from the fourth match. Meanwhile, Chennai experienced their fourth loss in the fifth match.
