PM Memorial demand Return Nehru’s letters , Sonia gandhi took in 2008 ..

The Prime Minister’s Museum and Library Society (PMML) has written a letter to Congress MPs to return the letters of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Currently, many letters to India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru are with the Congress. While the said letters carry great historical importance, the Congress has not returned them for almost 16 years. Therefore, the PMML has written a letter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to return all the letters. So far, the Congress has not said anything on the issue of the letters.

These letters were received by former Congress president Sonia Gandhi 16 years ago. On December 10, a letter was written to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi by PML-N member Rizwan Qadri. It mentions that a letter was also written to Sonia Gandhi last September. But no response was received. Now a letter has been written to Rahul Gandhi and asked to return the original letters from Sonia. If this is not possible, a photocopy of the said letters has been asked.

Rizwan Qadri further mentioned in the letter that all these letters are of great importance for the entire Indian citizen. Therefore, Rahul Gandhi has been asked to return them to the museum.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial handed over all these letters to the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (now the PML) in 1971. During the UPA regime, 51 boxes of Nehru’s letters were handed over to Sonia Gandhi in 2008. The letters were written by Nehru to eminent personalities like Mountbatten, Albert Einstein, Jayaprakash Narayan, Padmaja Naidu, Vijayalakshmi Pandit.
