PM Modi AC Yojana : Now Anyone Can Get A 5-Star AC. Know How To Get The Benefits!
PM Modi AC Yojana – Since mid-April, record after record has been broken. As the temperature increases, AC sales are also increasing. A report has revealed that 84 lakh air conditioners were sold in 2021-22, which has increased to 1.1 crore in 2023-24. Due to the rapidly increasing demand for cooling, the pressure on the power grid and power consumption is increasing every year. To meet this challenge, the government is working on the Prime Minister Modi AC Yojana (PM Modi AC Yojana).

How to Save Money
The aim of this new scheme is that people should replace their old and energy-consuming ACs with 5-star-rated models. By doing this, people will also benefit: 5-star-rated ACs will consume less electricity every month, which will also reduce their electricity bills. Not only the electricity bills but also the pressure on the power grid will be reduced.
According to a report by The Business Standard, the scheme is being prepared by the Ministry of Power and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. The scheme aims to align with long-term plans like the India Cooling Action Plan. There are also discussions about providing various benefits to people under the scheme so that more people can take advantage of the scheme.
BSES Delhi AC Replacement Scheme
is already running for the people living in Delhi. BSES is running a scheme under which people can get up to a 60% discount on the new AC after exchanging their old 3-star-rated AC and buying a new 5-star-rated AC. But the condition is that the AC should be in working condition, and 3 units can be replaced per CA number.
