PM Narendra Modi cuts short Saudi visit, holds an urgent security meeting in Delhi
PM Modi Holds High-Level Meeting On Pahalgam Terror Attack: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting on Tuesday afternoon in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on the terror attack. After leaving Saudi Arabia midway and arriving in Delhi at midnight, the Prime Minister held a meeting at Palam airport this morning. The meeting was attended by NSA Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Mishri and other officials.
Meanwhile, NIA will investigate the Pahalgam terror attack. NIA team will reach Pahalgam today for investigation.
It is noteworthy that 26 tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon. Many others were injured in this. After such a major terrorist attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to India at midnight.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi was on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia. He reached Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday afternoon. A few hours after he reached there, the news of the Pahalgam terror attack came. Constantly keeping his eyes on the growing developments related to the attack, Prime Minister Modi sent information soon after to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, who reviewed the situation before truncating his visit to return back to India on Tuesday night.
