Pranab’ s daughter targeted the Congress ,After the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Congress has now requested to build a memorial for him. After Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge made this proposal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sharmistha Mukherjee, daughter of former President late Pranab Mukherjee, has now targeted the Congress. Sharmistha has targeted the Congress, saying that they did not hold a condolence meeting for her father. Sharmistha said that when her father Pranab Mukherjee passed away, the Congress did not hold any condolence meeting. The Congress Working Committee did not even call a meeting. A senior Congress leader said that a condolence meeting is not held for the President of India. But later I came to know from my father’s diary that the Congress Working Committee held a condolence meeting for former President K.R. Narayanan and her father Pranab Mukherjee wrote a condolence letter.
She further said, “I have read my father’s handwritten diary. In it, when former President of India K. R. Narayan passed away, a meeting was held on behalf of the CWC. Father Pranab Mukherjee himself prepared a condolence message.” Apart from this, referring to a post by Sir Keshav, Sharmistha said that the Congress ignored the party members only because they were not members of the Gandhi family.
