A dog has joined the IPL broadcast team. This is a new breed of dog. A video has been shared on the IPL’s social media handle regarding this. In the video, former New Zealand cricketer and well-known commentator Danny Morrison unveiled the robotic dog in the IPL. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya and Rishi Topal are also seen having fun with Robert Dog. Danny Morrison has informed that this Robert Dog will play a major role in the IPL coverage. This is a special type of robotic dog.
This dog, Robert, has a special surveillance broadcast camera attached to its body. In a video, the dog is seen answering every question asked by Danny Morrison. It even waves its hand when it sees the camera, which shows its ability to connect with the broadcasting team and the audience.
And recent the robot dog was gain attention during LSG vs CSK in Lucknow on Monday, as the cameras shifted to Dhoni .
On meeting the IPL robot dog, the CSK skipper had a hilarious response, as he simply picked it up and laid it down on the ground, making it unable to move. The hilarious gesture showed that even if Dhoni is way past 40 now, he is still innocent like a child.
The camera quality used in the device planted on the robot dog is similar to ones found in an action camera, like GoPro. The IPL robot dog also filed net sessions, and followed the likes of Hardik Pandya and Danny Morrison.
It also looks like the robot dog could be used to film behind-the-scenes moments, and give fans a more unique and personal experience. Also due to its low position, the camera can spot moments which a standard camera operator canโt.
