Sanju Samson’s team beat the home team of Shreyas Iyer by 50 runs. While the hat-trick win eluded Punjab, this is the second win for Rajasthan in their fourth match in this tournament.

Rajasthan Royals batted first at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mulanpur, Punjab. In-form Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson laid a solid foundation by scoring 53 runs without loss in the powerplay. Jaiswal (67 runs from 45 balls) scored his first half-century of the season, while Sanju scored 38 runs from 26 balls. After this, the Royals became the first team to cross 200 in Mulanpur thanks to the innings of Riyan Parag (43* runs from 25 balls), Simran Hetmyer (20 runs from 12 balls), and Dhruv Jurel (13* runs from 5 balls). A good start for the Royals as Jofra Archer opened with two wickets, Priyansh Arya and Shreyas Iyer, in the first over. Nehal Wadhera (62 runs off 41 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (30 runs off 21 balls) made their contributions, but it proved to be futile.
