Odisha Simlipal Tiger Reserve Gets National Park Status After 45 Years
Shimlipal Gets National Park Status – The long wait is over. After 45 years, Similipal has been granted national park status. Yesterday, i.e., on April 24, the state government officially Shimlipal Gets National Park Status. The first notification for this was issued in 1980.
Then another notification was issued in 1985-86. After completing all the procedures, the final notification was issued yesterday. After the declaration of a national park, no individual has any right over Similipal. The entire right belongs to the government. Currently, there is no human settlement in the 845 square kilometer area of Similipal. Currently, there are 40 tigers in Similipal. It has been found that 6 of them are tiger cubs.
