A new statue is going to be added to the exciting ‘Scenes In the Square’ Movie Trail in London’s Leicester Square. This honour is going to be given to Raj (Shahrukh) and Simran (Kajol) from Yash Raj Films’ ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. With this, it has become the first Indian film to be installed in London (Leicester Square). According to reports, a bronze statue of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and actress Kajol will be installed at Leicester Square in Britain. This pose will be their iconic field pose from DDLJ. The DDLJ film will complete 30 years:
The Heart of London Business Alliance said that the bronze statue of Shah Rukh-Kajol will be installed in Scenes in the Square, established at Leicester Square, where similar statues of many other films have been installed. This is done to pay a homage to those thousands of films. The amazing thing is that DDLJ is the first Indian film to do so. This year, on 20 October 2025, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge will complete 30 years of its release, and the statue of Shah Rukh-Kajol’s iconic pose in the film will be unveiled much before that, in the middle of the year.
