Apply For +3 Admissions Before Announcement +2 Results, Know The Odisha Governments Plan
Apply For +3 Admissions – In a major change from the previous undergraduate admission process, the Odisha Higher Education Department has introduced a new system that allows students to apply for UG (+3) courses even before the declaration of the Plus Two exam results. According to the report, the move, aimed at smoothing and speeding up the admission cycle, enables students to submit their applications by selecting the ‘published’ option in the form, indicating that they are awaiting results. Earlier, students could apply only after the release of the Combined Two examination results by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). To ensure a smooth transition, the department will provide 10 days time to students after the declaration of CHSE results to update their marks.

This move is expected to reduce delays and facilitate timely seat allocation. The revised admission process is already underway. The Common Application Form (CAF) is now live on the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal from Wednesday. Students can apply online till May 20, with the option to edit their application on May 21 and 22. For students who have taken the CHSE exam, the process has been made even simpler, as their marks will be automatically fetched from the council’s database, eliminating the need for manual data entry.
